The fate of the New York Knicks all rests in the hand of 10th season go to man Carmelo Anthony as he leads the Knicks to a 13 game winning streak.
As they compete their way through the season the question unfurled on whether they would compete in the Eastern Conference championship, they will with Anthony and J.R. Smith’s consistent scoring, and well thought out rotation.
Anthony’s scoring has brought the Knicks second in the conference with a two lead in front of the Indiana Pacers. Anthony averaged 8.3 rebounds and shot 49.8 percent from the field and 41.4 percent on three pointers during the 13 game winning streak. Smith averaged 6.2 rebounds and shot 49.2 percent from the field.
During the late season success Anthony has surpassed Lebron James having the top-selling jersey. The best competition is coming according to Anthony “it is the end of the season, last month and everybody is fighting for spots. The playoffs are around the corner. This is when the best basketball begins.”
For the Knicks to continue this winning streak and play well coach Mike Woodson should stick to the same 10-man rotation he has been using during the winning streak. One important thing the New York Knicks should keep up is staying hot on the floor.
Can this continue? According to coach Woodson, “This is the time where we have to play our best basketball and it must continue into the playoffs.”
